LOS ANGELES, Feb 18 — The Weinstein Company has released a new trailer for the up-and-coming Amityville: The Awakening film, a revival of the popular film franchise with a modern twist.

Belle and her family move into a new house and when strange, paranormal phenomena begin, Belle begins to think her mother is not telling her everything about the new home.  

She then realizes that the family is living in the infamous Amityville house.



Amityville: The Awakening stars Oscar nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight, Single White Female), Bella Thorne (Scream) and Cameron Monahan (Shameless, The Giver).

The film is directed by Frank Khalfoun (Maniac) and produced by Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions (The Purge, Paranormal Activity).
