KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 — In just five days, Chiu Keng Guan’s Ola Bola has managed to add another RM4 million to its box office collection.

Within just 18 days of its release in cinemas nationwide as well as in Brunei, the football-themed movie has now made more than RM12 million.

Previously, the Astro Shaw-produced movie crossed the RM2.5 million mark in just four days before growing to RM8 million after 13 days of showing.

Released on January 28, 2016, Ola Bola is still scoring goals at the cinemas as tickets for it are still sold out instantly.

Ola Bola follows a multicultural team of Malaysian football players in the ‘70s. They struggle to overcome personal and collective hardships as a team, and together they create the most triumphant zero to hero story and gain a place at the Asian Games. — Cinema Online
