KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 — The legendary Richard Marx will be adding Kuala Lumpur to one of his many pit-stops for his solo tour this year!
The adult contemporary pop rock singer will be returning to Malaysia on March 9 to perform at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Marx was a popular name back in the late 80’s after starting off by providing background vocals for Lionel Richie and Chicago. His latest album, “Beautiful Goodbye” proves that the 52-year-old still has it in him to produce great music.
The singer-songwriter from Chicago has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and remains the only male artiste to have his first seven singles reach the Top 5 of the Billboard charts.
His solo career kicked off well selling more than four million copies in the States while his following album, Repeat Offender did even better going quadruple-platinum with two #1 singles in Satisfied and Right Here Waiting.
Marx then decided to focus on songwriting during the 2000’s, winning a Grammy Award for co-writing Dance With My Father with Luther Vandross.
Tickets for his one-night-only concert are already on sale at www.ticketpro.com.my/jnp/concert/1748600-Richard-Marx.html — TheHive.Asia
