KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 — Malaysia’s longest running environmental film festival, the International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Fest (KLEFF) is coming back for its ninth installment this October.

The festival has reached about 80,000 Malaysians in its course through its events held all over Malaysia.

Organised by non-profit organisation, EcoKnights, the festival battles the prevalent issues of environmental concerns by providing a platform to promote ecological awareness through on-ground activities and film screenings.

In addition, the festival also offers diverse opportunities such as film screenings, workshops and talks on sustainable living, fun and creative nature craft activities for children, performances, exhibitions and fairground attractions.

Budding filmmakers who are interested to participate in this event are encouraged to submit their work through the KLEFF website. There is however a submission fee that varies for Malaysian and non-Malaysian entries.

The festival runs from October 14 to 16, head to KLEFF 2016’s website for more information. — Cinema Online
