The Sam Willows announce first concert in Malaysia

SINGAPORE, Jan 13 — One of Singapore’s most well-known pop bands, The Sam Willows, which is made up of siblings Narelle and Benjamin Kheng, together with their friends Sandra Riley Tang and Jonathan Chua — are set to have their first ever live concert of the year in Malaysia this March!

Debuting in 2012 with their self-titled EP, the band was nominated for MTV Asia’s Best South-east Asian Act for the wildcard round in 2014, as well as Best South-east Asian Act for the MTV EMA’s in 2015.

The band is also currently the most subscribed music band channel on YouTube in Singapore with more than 46,000 subscribers.

The Sam Willows have played at several international music festivals including SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas; Canadian Music Week in Toronto, Ontario; Digital & Music Matters in Singapore; MU:CON 2013 in Seoul, Korea; Zandari Festa, also in Seoul, Korea and WAM Festival in Perth, Australia.

Their first full-length album, Take Heart was released last year.

According to the band on their Facebook page, this will be their “first ever time playing a ticketed show overseas” and they are very excited for it!
