SINGAPORE, Dec 5 — Heads up David Beckham fans! The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star will be walking the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) Gala red carpet from 7.30pm today at the Marina Bay Sands MasterCard Theatres.
The 40-year-old, who was just recently named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, will be joining film glitterati who have arrived for the SGIFF.
Several stars are gracing various SGIFF red carpets this year, in celebration of the 26th edition of South-east Asia’s longest-running international film platform.
These include action superstar Datuk Michelle Yeoh, award winning Iranian film director Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Golden Horse awards winner Yeo Yann Yann, and Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel, whose film The Man Who Knew Infinity — the biopic of legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan — is showing to a sold out audience tonight (Dec 5).
The star studded festival will also see the likes of local television celebrities Zoe Tay, Tay Ping Hui, Shaun Chen and Julie Tan on the red carpet.
Tonight also sees Marina Bay Sands hold its first-ever red carpet on the iconic Sands SkyPark at celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant Spago, where Patel and The Man Who Knew Infinity director Matthew Brown will be making a special appearance for this inaugural event ahead of the Singapore premiere of their movie. — TODAY
