LOS ANGELES, Dec 2 — Ben Affleck has cast actor Titus Welliver as a mob boss in his Prohibition-era drama Live by Night. Affleck and Welliver have already worked together on Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Argo.

Live by Night features Affleck — who is also directing — in the lead role, playing the son of a policeman who gets involved with an organised crime network of alcohol smugglers. Also on the cast list are Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Elle Fanning.

Welliver is known for his array of appearances on film and television, notably as the title role in the Amazon Studios series Bosch and The Man in Black in Lost.

Affleck and Welliver have worked together on every film that Affleck has directed. Live by Night is based on the novel by Dennis Lehane, who also wrote Gone Baby Gone. — AFP-Relaxnews
