SEOUL, Nov 24 — Jay Park has lashed out at an international Korean entertainment news site for implying that he was at the centre of a celebrity drug scandal.

The American K-pop rapper called out Koreaboo on Sunday, accusing the site of using his and Dok2’s pictures for a story on an unnamed rapper charged with drug use in order to garner clicks.

According to KpopStarz, Park tweeted: “So ya’ll just gon[na] use me and Dok2’s pic like that when you know it ain’t us?”

He then shared a screenshot of Koreaboo’s post, before adding “Lol desperate for clicks, huh?”

At the time of writing, it appears the post has been removed from Twitter.

The article, which featured on image of both Park and rapper Dok2, was originally titled “[Breaking] Korea’s Latest Celebrity Drug Scandal Features A ‘CEO/Rapper.’”

Both men are CEOs of their companies. Park is the founder of AOMG, while Dok2 is the co-CEO of Illionaire Records.

Park continued to call out Koreaboo with more tweets where he questioned the site’s credibility.

“Trying to be a reliable news source yet they post our pics implying that it’s us when it aint,” he said.

In another tweet, he added: “Get yo facts straight before you indirectly include us in some bulls*** we ain’t involved in. Aight now back to being successful.”

Meanwhile, an AOMG rep released a statement to Newsen, reiterating that the rumours are false.

“We learned this past 22nd that a certain media outlet known to be based in North America has written up an article on Jay Park being involved in a drug scandal,” the statement read.

“The article in question is not true at all. We express our regret at this groundless report. We attempted to continue reaching the media outlet to request the correction of the groundless article but because they’re not a Korean outlet, we didn’t know their contact info, so we told a rep [of the media outlet] that’s in charge of capturing concert videos that we will take action if they don’t take down the article. We must have reached them because they article went down. Jay Park himself is angry because the rumours aren’t true.”
