PARIS, Nov 16 — The terrorist attacks on Paris have put a few high-profile movie premieres on hold, among them Tom Hanks’ film “Bridge of Spies” and Natalie Portman’s film “Jane Got a Gun”.

Following the events of November 13, Fox cancelled the Paris premiere of the Steven Spielberg-directed film “Bridge of Spies”, which was scheduled for today.

The film is about a lawyer who negotiated the release of Francis Gary Powers from Soviet custody when the pilot’s plane was shot down over the Soviet Union.

Likewise, a press junket for Portman’s “Jane Got a Gun” scheduled for yesterday and the movie premiere scheduled to be held at the UGC Normandie cinema on the Champs-Elysees for today were called off.

The film stars Portman in an American western alongside Ewan McGregor.

Also cancelled is the Paris premiere of the Tom Hard film “Legend”, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Olympia cinema. — AFP-Relaxnews
