LOS ANGELES, Nov 10 — “Baywatch” without a bevy of beauties? Not possible so it’s easy to see why a number of female stars are auditioning for roles in the big screen remake.

According to Deadline, seven actresses will be testing for the feature film though there’s no word on which roles at this point. The list includes Nina Dobrev (“The Vampire Diaries”), Ashely Benson (“Pretty Little Liars”), Alexandra Daddario (“San Andreas”, “True Detective”), Alexandra Shipp (“X-Men: Apocalypse”), Shelley Hennig (“Teen Wolf”), Bianca Santos (The Duff) and Denyse Tontz (“Big Time Rush”).    

Earlier “Baywatch” details indicate that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will play David Hasselhoff’s character Mitch Buchannon, who is the charismatic leader of the Baywatch team.

Zac Efron on the other hand will be playing a disgraced ex-Olympic swimmer who’s trying to turn his life around by joining the Baywatch team. 

Nicole Eggert is set to play Summer, a young and upbeat lifeguard who is also Efron’s love interest. Alexandra Paul will play Mitch’s former flame and veteran lifeguard Stephanie Holden.  

“Baywatch” is expected to start filming in February next year.
