Joseph Gordon-Levitt on pot, porn and marriage

NEW YORK, Sept 16 — Dashing Hollywood leading man and all-round nice guy Joseph Gordon-Levitt recently admitted that smoking marijuana gives him a creative boost and adds another dimension to his thinking.

“When I smoke weed I'm more liable to make connections I wouldn't otherwise make. Sometimes those connections are ludicrous. But sometimes they're great. You're like, 'Oh s---, I might not have thought of that,' and it actually makes sense in the morning," the Snowden star said in the October issue of Playboy.

Gordon Levitt added that he’s smoked up on occasion with director Oliver Stone, saying that the experience was an eye-opener and thought-provoking.

Having made his directorial debut with “Don Jon”, the 34-year-old thesp also warned against the dangers of porn addiction.

"I’ve certainly experienced what it’s like to go down a rabbit hole with pornography. I think most young men my age have experienced what that’s like.

"If you get used to getting a boner and jerking off without having another person there, you run the risk of not knowing how to truly interact once you’re actually in bed with someone. Sex is good only if you have that two-way feedback cycle," he said.

One thing the newlywed seemed reluctant to discuss is his marriage. "I'm reluctant to talk about being married because I'm married to a woman who doesn't like strangers being privy to her life and relationships," he says of his wife, Tasha McCauley, who happens to be a NASA robotics expert.
