LOS ANGELES, Aug 14 — J.K. Simmons and former NFL quarterback Terry Bradshaw is joining Ed Helms and Owen Wilson for Alcon Entertainment’s comedy “Bastards.”
“Bastards,” written by Justin Malen (“Bad Teacher 2”), follows two brothers (Helms and Wilson) who go on the search for their famous biological dad. Simmons and Bradshaw are two of the many potential father figures the brothers meet, with Bradshaw playing himself.
J.K. Simmons is most famous for his role in “Whiplash,” for which he won an Oscar, while Terry Bradshaw is an Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster and former NFL quarterback. Bradshaw has also appeared in several feature films.
The movie marks the directorial debut for cinematographer Larry Sher (“The Hangover”). Shooting is expected to start in September, and the film will be released by Warner Bros. — AFP-Relaxnews
