BANGKOK, Aug 10 — Owen Wilson’s latest film, “No Escape,” has been banned in Thailand, Page Six reported today.
According to the website, Thai authorities had allowed the movie, which is about an American family caught in a coup and trying to escape an unnamed Southeast Asian country, to be shot in Thailand, but only if the country was not identified on-screen.
A source told Page Six, “Precautions were taken, like signs that appeared in shots being turned upside-down.”
However, it is clear that such measures were still not enough, because Thai officials have banned the film from being screened in the country, after previewing it.
