LONDON, July 11 — American hotel heiress Nicky Hilton yesterday tied the knot with English banking heir James Rothschild in a lavish ceremony with a slight hiccup at the Kensington Palace.
The 31-year-old bride wore a beautiful £50,000 (RM294,200) Valentino dress with a lengthy train and a long lace veil that got caught under the wheels of the Bentley that ferried her to the wedding, according to Daily Mail.
The portal also reported that her dress accidentally hitched up during a touch-up by a team of helpers, revealing her undergarment.
A picture of the couple kissing after the wedding were posted by Paris Hilton, the bride's older sister, saying she was happy that her sister “found the man of her dreams”.
Nicky Hilton later posted a picture of herself wearing a short, white lace dress on her Instagram with the caption “Goodnight”.
Sisters Nicky and Paris Hiltorn are both heiresses to the Hilton Hotel Group while her groom Rothschild is the only son of late Amschel Rothschild and his wife Anita.
This is Hilton’s second marriage. Her first wedding, to banker and childhood friend Todd Meister in 2004, only lasted eight weeks and was annulled after both parties said they married “on a whim”.
