LOS ANGELES, July 3 — In an exclusive on Deadline, it was announced that actors Stana Katic and Raza Jaffrey will star in Amin Matalqa’s action adventure “The Rendezvous”.

The movie is to be an adaptation of Sarah Isaias’ book A New Song. Set in Jordan, the plot involves Katic and Jaffrey’s characters’ search for a sacred Dead Sea scroll hidden somewhere in Petra.

Katic is known for her lead role in TV series “Castle”.

 Jaffrey is also known for his work on the silver screen, notably in “Homeland” and “Spooks”.

Matalqa is of Jordanian descent, and has already made a name for himself in the film industry.

His debut film, “Captain Abu Raed” (2007) won the World Cinema Audience Award at Sundance. — AFP-Relaxnews
