LONDON, June 28 — Afshan Azad, the actress who played Padma Patil in the ‘Harry Potter’ series, has been creating a buzz online when a snap of her on Twitter went viral.

The hype started after Huffington Post India posted recent pictures of the actress from her Twitter feed, and gained ground after the story was picked up by Buzzfeed.

The British actress with Bangladeshi origins, who played one of the Patil twins, seemed bemused by the attention, as she posted, “You guys are too much! Thank you for the love from the Buzzfeed article. Don’t worry I read all your comments!”

However, some detractors were quick to point out the difference in her appearance from the time she acted in the movie compared to her current pictures.

She hit back by pointing out how young she was when the movies were made, “Seriously guys, all this hype after the Buzzfeed article is ridiculous! Hilarious but crazy! I appreciate it&all but come on I was 16 then!!”

She added, “People grow up and obviously I’ve matured and changed!”

The actress also stressed that she “never had any form of plastic surgery”.
