LOS ANGELES, June 23 — Robert Downey Jr. is working on a new movie based on the true story of FBI agents who chase Minnesota swindler Phil Kitzer, dubbed ‘the world's greatest con man' around the world.
Downey is developing the film with his production company Team Downey and Warner Bros. which picked up the rights to the book proposal by David Howard titled, "Chasing Phil: The World's Greatest Con Man, Two Undercover FBI Agents, and Their Amazing Around the World Adventure."
Kitzer masterminded multi-million-dollar schemes with a band of network associates in the 1970s.
In addition to producing the film along with wife Susan, Downey may star in the lead role as Kitzer. — AFP-Relaxnews
