The RM40-million project is the collaboration between the Neverland Group and Malaysian property giant UMLand. Neverland JB will be opened at the two-storey 5,110 square metres Zenith shopping complex in the Johor Baru City Centre development zone, covering 557 square metres at the basement, Straits Times reports. According to UMLand Manager Benjamin Lee, the club aims to be “a one-stop entertainment centre to complement the other retail malls in the area.”
Neverland’s Malaysian business arm, Pixie Entertainment Group has also recently opened a 1,858 square metres club at Johor Baru called Pixie@JB. The Singaporean group aims to have Pixie Entertainment Group listed on the Australian stock exchange.
The first Club Neverland in Malaysia was located at Jalan Kia Peng in KL City Centre but has been closed for more than six months and is now rebranded as Pixie Mansion. The group also owned three other clubs in Singapore:
- Neverland II @ St. James — a premium live entertainment club with live entertainment and DJ set
- SONAR by Neverland — a late night club featuring singers, dancers and DJs from all over Asia
- MONO by Neverland — an upscale karaoke lounge — The Hive Asia
