LOS ANGELES, May 23 — Eminem has revealed that he is producing the soundtrack for the upcoming film “Southpaw,” and that he’s contributed his own track “Phenomenal” to the mix.

“Southpaw,” directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, will tell the story of the boxer Billy “The Great” Hope.  The film hits US theatres July 24, and the soundtrack is headed out the same month from Eminem’s record label, Shady Records. Eminem’s track “Phenomenal,” produced by DJ Khalil, serves as the soundtrack’s first single and can be heard in a Beats By Dre ad that has been posted on YouTube. — AFP-Relaxnews
