LONDON, April 29 — Charli XCX thinks it’s “awesome” that no one knows about her private life.

The 22-year-old singer is conquering the world with her catchy pop songs such as “Break the Rules” and “Doing It”. Although she’s been in the industry since 2008 her debut record hit stores in 2013, and it was after that that things really took off. Despite her fame, Charli has done her best to make it just about the music.

“I mean nobody really knows anything about my private life, which is awesome. And I hope to keep it that way. I am, like, wild and loud and b***hy on stage, [but] I am, in some aspects of life, quite a quiet person,” she assured Teen Vogue.

Charli suffers from mood swings, and sometimes they mean she doesn’t feel up for talking to people. She knows it can come across as rudeness, but tries her best to let people know it’s more that she needs some time alone. On the flip side, she can also be hyperactive.

Being a pop star is a dream come true for the British singer, who has always loved artists like Britney Spears. She has teamed up with the US singer and worked with Gwen Stefani too, which she’s still coming to terms with.

“With Gwen, I’ve been working on some stuff behind the scenes for her and we’ve not been in the studio together. I never thought when I was a little girl, that I would be asked to write songs for people like this. It’s kind of cool! But trippy and weird,” she laughed. — Cover Media
