LOS ANGELES, April 9 — The classic fairy tale “Pinocchio” is set to return to the big screen once again thanks to a new Disney live-adaptation adaptation in the pipeline.

Nineteenth century Italian writer Carlo Collodi’s moralistic children’s story about the puppet boy whose nose grew each time he told a lie is being loosely adapted by screenwriter Peter Hedges, Deadline reports.

Disney first adapted the tale back in 1940, and it has been remade countless times since.

The film joins other live action remakes underway at Disney, including “The Jungle Book” and “Beauty and the Beast”. — AFP-Relaxnews
