LOS ANGELES, Jan 13 — Bill Murray apparently had plans to prank George Clooney at the Golden Globes.
The annual ceremony took place in Los Angeles on Sunday and George was on hand to collect the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award.
However, his fellow actor pal Bill reportedly wanted to make light of the situation and storm the stage as Julianna Margulies and Don Cheadle presented the honour.
According to New York Post’s Page Six, “St Vincent” star Bill wanted to “pull a Kanye West”, referring to the 2009 VMAs, when Kanye rushed on stage to declare an award Taylor Swift was receiving should have gone to Beyoncé Knowles.
However, his plans were pushed aside when “Gravity” actor George apparently decided it wasn’t a good idea.

“I wish it had happened, it might have made the show more interesting,” an insider sighed.
It could be that 53-year-old George thought the prank would interfere with his gushing speech about new wife Amal. The pair married in September last year and it seems George is in the throes of wedded bliss.
“I’ve had a pretty good year myself,” he said in his acceptance speech. “Listen: it’s a humbling thing when you find someone to love — even better when you’ve been waiting your whole life. And when your whole life is 53 years, Amal, whatever alchemy it is that brought us together, I couldn’t be more proud to be your husband.” — Cover Media
