LOS ANGELES, Nov 23 — The actor will star alongside Natalie Dormer (“Hunger Games”) in “Patient Zero”, a movie set in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by “a new species driven by violence”, according to Deadline.

Matt Smith will play the only human survivor of a strain of rabies that has transformed the whole human race. Smith will represent the world (and his infected wife’s) only hope for a cure. The action thriller movie will be directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky.

Discovered in BBC’s “Doctor Who,” Smith is also set to star in “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” and in “Terminator: Genisys” in 2015.

Natalie Dormer is currently on the big screen in “Hunger Games: Mockingjay —  Part 1”. She will come back as Margaery Tyrell in the fifth season of “Game of Thrones”, starting in January 2015. — AFP-Relaxnews
