LOS ANGELES, Oct 1 — The actress recently seen in “Walk of Shame” and the comedian known for his role on “Community” have joined the sequel to “Magic Mike,” the male stripper movie starring Channing Tatum.
The cast seemed to have been finalised a few weeks ago with the last-minute additions of Amber Heard, Andy McDowell and Jada Pinkett Smith, especially since “Magic Mike XXL” entered production in late August, as Steven Soderbergh announced on Twitter.
Perhaps it’s to make up for Matthew McConaughey’s absence that the production keeps adding new names to the billing, the latest of which are Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover and former NFL star Michael Strahan.
At any rate, the announcement of the new cast members arrives along with the first synopsis. Three years after the end of the first movie and his retirement from stripping, Mike and his former back-up dancers decide to reunite for one final spectacular performance.
