LOS ANGELES, May 12 — Extreme good looks, a lot of talent and a sexy accent, Michael Fassbender seems to have it all. Born in Germany to an Irish mother and a German father the actor was raised in southwest Ireland where his family ran a restaurant.

At the age of 17 Fassbender knew he wanted to be an actor when he was cast in a play. Two years later Michael packed his bags and moved to the UK to study at the Drama Centre in London. It wasn’t long before he felt the itch to do something else and dropped out. He then started touring with a stage company and took on several roles. In 2006 he caught the public’s eye in the film ‘300’ and after that a lot of big movie roles followed.

Along with his film success, Fassbender has gained a lot of attention all over the world and the actor is currently considered one of Hollywood’s hotties.

He’s admitted he wasn’t always quite the looker. He said his looks as a teenager were tainted by acne and unfortunate hair. It’s hard to imagine as Fassy was voted the 8th sexiest movie star on Empire Magazine’s online list in 2013 and is known for his sexy ginger beard these days. He now has the world’s attention, especially after he showed us his stunning body in the controversial drama ‘Shame’ which left little to the imagination.

And despite all the attention he gets, Michael remains to be a very sincere and down to earth guy who always tries to see the good in people.

Michael himself sure is loved by his fans, the so called “Fassinators”. Naturally their dedication consists of screaming their lungs out and fainting during premieres.

But his fans aren’t the only ones praising him, he’s also loved by a lot of his Hollywood colleagues. Actor Steve McQueen said, “I love Michael and I think he loves me.”

He can count Steve McQueen, Martin Scorsese, Hugh Jackman And James McAvoy among his greatest fans.

Michael has had his fair share of romantic interests as well. In 2011, he dated Zoe Kravitz, daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz. The two were co-stars in the movie “X-men: First Class”. Although the relationship did not last, they reportedly remained friends after their break-up. His next conquest was Nicole Beharie. The two started dating after they met on the set of their movie “Shame” in 2012.

Unfortunately the duo was believed to have suffered from the traditional romance issue of a long distance relationship and split in early 2013. And then there are also a bunch of rumoured girlfriends including Gerard Butler’s Ex Madalina Ghenea, actress Lupita Nyong’o and super model Naomi Campbell. But the luckiest of his ladies is his proud mom, who got to accompany her son on the red carpet at the 2014 Academy Awards.

It’s also known Michael is usually quite the joker and likes to have a good time while shooting a movie. He recently got the cast of the latest “X-Men” instalment on their feet and busted some moves to Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’.

Acting wasn’t a priority for Fassbender in the beginning. Instead, he’d wanted to be a lead guitarist in a band. But, unfortunately his attempts to start a band weren’t very successful as it was hard to find a drummer or bass player in his small town. So it was just him and his friend Mike and their one time gig in a pub at lunchtime playing Metallica which didn’t go off too well.

However in 2003 Fassy got to fulfil his music dream by appearing in the music video for “Blind Pilots” by the British rock band The Cooper Temple Clause. And in the 2014 movie “Frank” Michael gets another chance to be the leader of his own band.

These days Michael’s main focus is acting and he uses his musicality to prepare for new roles.

In 2008, Fassbender proved his dedication to his craft by undertaking a crash diet for the film “Hunger”, limiting him to just 900 calories per day, and dropped 19kg (42 pounds), showing everyone that it’s not easy to be an actor.

He is also a chameleon when it comes to acting. From historical drama “12 Years A Slave” to action flick “Haywire”, Sci-Fi thriller “Prometheus” and of course the comic book adaptation “X-Men”.

Michael is well known for his X-Men character Magneto, who’s able to move objects with his magnetic superpowers, However, Fassy much rather wishes he’d be able to fly! But since he tends to fall asleep most of the times while on a plane we think it might not be such a great idea for him to take on the pilot part.

Fassbender is definitely a great lover of adventure and speed, he loves riding around on his motorcycle and one time he even rode his bike all the way from London to the Venice Film Festival.

Whenever he has a day off, he loves to race go-karts and is a big follower of Formula One. He admits to being a fan of fellow German Michael Schumacher. Fassy was even kind of star struck after meeting him at the British Grand Prix.

Starstruck or not, with an already successful career and plenty of new movies in the pipeline Michael Fassbender has a bright future ahead of him. — Cover Media
