NEW YORK, May 10 — Hugh Jackman has recently urged fans to wear sunscreen after finding a cancerous skin patch at a routine check-up.

The 'Wolverine' actor has apparently been seeing a doctor to remove any patches that could potentially degenerate into skin cancer, which has led to him posting a photo of himself with a fresh bandage over his nose, confirming that they found a dangerous growth on his face.

The star captioned the image with ‘Please, please wear sunscreen’ and thanked the doctors who have saved his life. This is actually the second time that the Aussie has had skin taken off his nose for health reasons.

Hugh also recently explained that in Australia, getting checked for skin cancer is a very normal thing to do and encourages everyone to be aware of the dangers of tumours, but more importantly asks everyone keep an eye on general health issues in every day life.

In an interview following an operation, Hugh said that “if you're 21 or older, just go and get checked, it's simple” and could save your life. — Cover Media
