LOS ANGELES, April 20 — This ‘Kick-Ass’ chick lurks in the ‘Dark Shadows’ and she’s ready to ‘Carrie’ you off. She’s Hollywood It Girl Chloë Grace Moretz. Moretz’s first feature film role came at just 8 years old, in the 2005 remake of horror classic ‘The Amityville Horror’ with Ryan Reynolds.
Now, more than twenty pictures later, young Chloë is ready to lead a franchise of her own. The Southern starlet has signed on to take the starring role in ‘The 5th Wave’, a new young adult sci-fi film that’s planned to be the first part of a trilogy, based on the bestselling novel of the same name.
The movie centres around a young girl trying to find her brother during an alien invasion. Moretz has experience in a wide variety of genres, having done superheroes in ‘Kick-Ass’, vampires with ‘Let Me In’, and horror for ‘Carrie’, so she should have no trouble making an action adventure like ‘The 5th Wave’ believable and appealing.
No word yet on who might co-star, but there’s no envy of the young actor tasked with holding his own against a powerhouse like Chloë! — Cover Media
