LOS ANGELES, April 10 ― The cable network announced that it will air “Power” from June 7. In addition to producing the series, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson will appear in a supporting role and contribute to the soundtrack.  The artist's track “Big Rich Town,” featuring Joe, was recorded specifically for the drama, which is set in New York.

Created by “The Good Wife” producer and writer Courtney Kemp Agboh, “Power” will focus on James “Ghost” St. Patrick, the owner of a New York nightclub. His ambitions of building an empire could be held back by his lucrative but illegal side venture: dealing drugs.

Omari Hardwick (“Kick-Ass”) will play this central character, co-starring with Lela Loren (“H+”), Naturi Naughton (“Mad Men”) and Joseph Sikora (“Boardwalk Empire”). As announced by Starz at the start of the project last June, 50 Cent will appear in a recurring role on “Power” in addition to producing. The rapper will play Kanan, James “Ghost” St. Patrick's longtime friend. ― AFP-Relaxnews
