LONDON, April 1 — The Rolling Stones have announced they’ll play 14 shows across Europe throughout May, June and July, beginning in Norway on May 26.

This will be the band’s first round of tour dates since they postponed a tour of Australia and New Zealand following the March 17 suicide of L’Wren Scott, partner of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. They’ve also promised to reschedule the Australia and New Zealand concerts, although no official plans have yet been revealed.

The European tour will travel to stadiums, parks and arenas throughout Europe and in Tel Aviv, and to festivals including Lisbon Rock in Rio, Holland’s Pinkpop and Roskilde in Denmark. The shows continue on from the band’s concerts last year in the US and the UK as part of their 50 & Counting Tour.

Several of the shows had been previous announced; notably, tickets for the Paris show on June 13 sold out in 51 minutes when they were put on sale March 28. — AFP/Relaxnews
