LOS ANGELES, March 23 — Universal announced it has tapped the French actor for a role in the fourth movie in the “Jurassic Park” franchise.

Hollywood continues to smile at Omar Sy since his role in the hit French film “The Intouchables.” After returning to theatres in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” the actor will join Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in “Jurassic World,” helmed by Colin Trevorrow.

Details on the 36-year-old actor’s role were not specified. Shot in 3D, the feature will once again follow a group of theme park visitors fighting for survival against dangerous dinosaurs that have been resurrected by science.

In the meantime, Omar Sy will play the mutant Bishop in the next “X-Men” movie, which hits theatres in May. In October, he will return to French cinemas in “Samba,” a comedy from “The Intouchables” directors Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano — AFP
