LOS ANGELES, March 15 — The star of TV comedy “Modern Family”, Sofia Vergara, has revealed her latest project, a fragrance.

The Colombian actress, who has become one of the biggest names on television, will release Sofía by Sofía Vergara on April 24 via the Home Shopping Network (HSN). She worked with Parlux, which has created scents for other celebrities including Jay Z and Rihanna, as well as brands like Kenneth Cole and Vince Camuto.

Sofía by Sofía Vergara’s fruity top notes include blackberry, cassis buds and plum, with a heart of purple violet, (patriotic) Colombian rose and orchid, and a drydown of woods, vanilla and sandalwood.

According to a report in WWD, the perfume will come in two spray sizes — 100ml, US$55(RM164) and 50ml (US$48) as well as a 200ml Body Shimmer (US$30). After its exclusive HSN deal, the fragrance will appear in US department stores in time for the holiday season.

Vergara has over five million fans on her Facebook page and is one of the small screen’s most popular stars. The 41-year-old has taken top spot in the Forbes list of highest-paid TV actors for two years in a row, having banked an estimated US$30 million in 2013. Her lucrative commercial contracts include deals with Kmart, Cover Girl, Rooms to Go and Head & Shoulders. — AFP-Relaxnews
