LOS ANGELES, Feb 20 — Science fiction thriller “Air” is to star Norman Reedus, Daryl Dixon in AMC’s “The Walking Dead” TV series, with creator Robert Kirkman acting as the film’s producer.

Joining Reedus will be Djimon Hounsou, acclaimed for his roles in “Amistad”, “In America”, and “Blood Diamond”.

The two play a pair of cryogenic facility custodians, tasked with ensuring Earth’s best and brightest are kept in a fragile deep-freeze state after a devastating nuclear apocalypse, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Christian Cantamessa, known for his work on Rockstar Games’ “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas”, “Red Dead Redemption”, and the controversial “Manhunt 2”, is making his directorial debut with “Air”.

He is joined by fellow scriptwriter Chris Pasetto of “How I Survived the Zombie Apocalypse”, 1998 video game horror “Sanitarium”, and the two “Transformers: Cybertron” games. — AFP-Relaxnews
