LOS ANGELES, Dec 25 — The American star will share the small screen with David Tennant, Anna Gunn and Josh Hamilton in this drama adapted from the British series “Broadchurch,” Tvline.com reports.
In this forthcoming police drama, the murder of an 11-year-old boy overturns the peace and quiet previously enjoyed by the inhabitants of the sleepy American town of Gracepoint. Detective Emmett Carver (David Tennant) and local policewoman Ellie Miller (Anna Gunn) are tasked with finding the author of this shocking crime and bringing him to justice.
In this dark and sordid story, Nick Nolte will take on the role of Jack Reinhold, a stubborn and somewhat difficult man who has lived in Gracepoint for over 20 years. The character, who runs the local kayak rental business, is also the president of the local wildlife observation club, of which the victim was a member.
Principal photography on “Gracepoint” will begin in Canada next January with David Tennant (“Doctor Who”), Anna Gunn (“Breaking Bad”), Josh Hamilton (“American Horror Story: Coven”), Jacki Weaver (“Silver Linings Playbook”) and Michael Pena (“Gangster Squad”).
At age 72, Nick Nolte is rarely seen on TV. In the 1970s, he appeared in the ABC miniseries “Rich Man, Poor Man,” and more recently, in 2012, he co-starred with Dustin Hoffman in Michael Mann’s series “Luck,” which was ultimately cancelled by HBO. — Afp-Relaxnews
