LOS ANGELES, Nov 21 ― The acclaimed actor delivers an impressively disturbing performance in this psychological thriller, arriving in US theaters on February 28, 2014.

Yahoo!Movies has uploaded the trailer for “Repentance,” previously known under its working title “Vipaka.” Forest Whitaker plays a man unable to cope with his mother’s death in this Philippe Caland film, which presents certain parallels with Rob Reiner’s “Misery.”

Whitaker’s character, Angel Sanchez, contacts an author and life coach, Thomas Carter, played by Anthony Mackie (“Pain & Gain”). While attempting to help Sanchez work through his issues, Carter is ultimately taken hostage by the psychopathic character in his Louisiana home. ― AFP-Relaxnews
