KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 — The prime minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor today launched the eighth edition of ‘The Guide to Malaysia’, a comprehensive travel guidebook covering a wide spectrum of facts and information on business and leisure in Malaysia.

The 431-page book priced at RM50, provides its readers an overall and wide-ranging look at life and work in Malaysia, including arts, culture, heritage, special interest places, shopping, fashion, nature, hotels and resorts.

Published by Leisure Guide Publishing Sdn Bhd, the guidebook also has an extensive business section that includes the economic growth corridors, financial system, property market and even education, health and architecture.

“The book will definitely captivate and take readers on a unique visual journey, and give them a better glimpse of this beautiful country and convince potential tourists to visit Malaysia,” said Rosmah, who is the patron of the book series, at the launch, here, today.

Also present were the founder of Leisure Guide Publishing Sdn Bhd Regina Fabiny and Asian Strategy Leadership Institute (ASLI) chief executive officer Tan Sri Michael Yeoh.

Rosmah said it would be nice for Malaysian officials involved in promoting trade, investment and tourism overseas to present the book to those who wished to have any engagement with Malaysia.

“It is a nice gesture to hand over a book which introduces one’s homeland as a present. Besides, it can also become an important corporate companion for foreign businessman,” she added. — Bernama
