SHAH ALAM, Jan 11 — The ‘Ops Buku: Mari Membaca’ programme organised by the Karangkraf Media Group with 1Malaysia For Youth (1M4U), beginning today, is aimed at inculcating the reading culture while waiting for and using public transportation.

As a curtain-raiser for the activity scheduled twice a month this year, a group of 20 university students will perform a flash mob by reading books and novels at the KTM Komuter Station in Section 19 here.

1M4U integration and event division manager Shaffique Ahmad Zehnun said the programme was aimed at inculcating the reading culture in society, especially students, so that their free time was used wisely.

He said the programme would be continued at other selected Komuter and LRT stations. — Bernama
