KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 — Sunway Construction Group Bhd’s (SunCon) wholly-owned subsidiary Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd (SCSB) has bagged two awards from Sharp Ventures Solar Sdn Bhd (SVS) and Sunway Flora Sdn Bhd worth a combined RM463 million.

In two filings with Bursa Malaysia, SunCon said SCSB has secured an engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) contract worth RM185.01 million from SVS located at Kapar, Selangor and received a letter of award from Sunway Flora Sdn Bhd for the main building works involving a condominium in Kuala Lumpur worth RM278 million.

The duration for completion of the EPCC works is 18 months from the commencement date which will be sometime in December 2022.

As for the Sunway Flora project, the contract commences today and is expected to be completed on October 31, 2025.

Both projects are expected to contribute positively to SunCon’s earnings from the financial year ending December 31, 2023 onwards. — Bernama
