KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 — HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd has appointed Stuart Milne as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective May 24.

In a statement today, HSBC said Milne replaced Mukhtar Hussain, who would be taking on a new assignment as HSBC’s Asia Pacific Head of Belt and Road Initiative.

"After joining HSBC in 1981, Milne has worked in a variety of businesses in the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, the Philippines, France, the United States, Japan and India,” it said.

HSBC Group Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive, Peter Wong said Milne’s experience across businesses and geographies would be invaluable in leading HSBC Malaysia through its next growth phase. — Bernama
