KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — The international benchmark Brent crude oil price, which rallied to as high as US$74.44 (RM289) a barrel today, helped give Bursa Malaysia a boost to enable the FBM KLCI to close at an all-time high of 1,895.18, up 15.86 points.

It last reached the 1,892.65 level on July 8, 2014.

It was reported that oil prices improved today to their highest since late 2014 on the back of declining US crude inventories.

Currently, the Brent is at US$73.91 per barrel.

The oil price, now at US$73.91, appreciated significantly after top oil exporter, Saudi Arabia, aimed to see the price rise to between US$80 and US$100 a barrel. — Bernama
