Tunku Shazuddin appointed Naza Italia chairman

KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 — Naza Corporation Holdings today announced the appointment of Datuk Tunku Shazuddin Ariff Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin as chairman of its subsidiary Naza Italia Sdn Bhd.

Group executive chairman and chief executive officer of Naza Corporation Holdings SM Nasaruddin SM Nasimuddin said, "Tunku Shazuddin brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise that we firmly believe will add value, instill good corporate governance practices and provide effective leadership to steer Naza Italia towards achieving long-term success and deliver sustainable value to the automotive group.”

He further added that Tunku Shazuddin will be a key advisor on strategic direction to elevate Naza Italia as the official distributor of Ferraris and Maseratis in Malaysia and how to be a top dealer in South-east Asia.

Tunku Shazuddin’s career portfolio includes experience in the public and private sectors, having worked with local and international companies.

Currently, he serves as director of Seri Libana Sdn Bhd and executive chairman for Berjaya Food Berhad. Tunku Shazuddin graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a major in design and marketing.

In the same statement, Naza Corp’s joint venture partner Groupe PSA also announced the appointment of Laurence Noël as chief  executive officer of the Naza Automotive Manufacturing (NAM) plant in Gurun, Kedah.

Apart from being the CEO of NAM, Noël was also appointed as Groupe PSA’s Senior Vice President, Asean effective 1 May 2018.

She will report to Carlos Gomes, executive vice president China and South-east Asia.
