KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 — The ringgit opened marginally lower against a rejuvenated US dollar this morning, said a dealer.
At 9am, the local unit was traded at 4.2390/2420 versus the US dollar from 4.2325/2355 at 6pm yesterday.
However, the dealer said the local note was traded higher against other major currencies ahead of the 2018 Budget announcement to be tabled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak at 3.30pm today.
"Investors remain optimistic ahead of the budget announcement, especially following Najib's reassurance that it will take into account the interest of all segments of the people," he said.

It also improved against the British pound to 5.5637/5693 from 5.5941/5998 and firmed against the euro to 4.9295/9339 from 4.9973/9025 yesterday. — Bernama
