KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 — Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd’s pre-tax profit for the financial year ended Jan 31, 2017 rose to RM845.51 million from RM829.39 million a year ago.
Revenue increased to RM5.61 billion from RM5.48 billion previously, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
It said the higher revenue was mainly due to the increase in advertising, home-shopping and other revenue of RM65.7 million, RM71.7 million and RM4.9 million respectively.
On prospect, Astro said, it will continue to execute its key strategy of growing revenues by providing differentiated contents and a diverse range of products and services.
"We will focus on delivering quality contents and have a superior consumer experience with a line-up of sporting events and other local and international contents to provide the best for our customers,” it said. — Bernama
