JAKARTA, Nov 7 — Indonesia’s annual economic growth slowed in the third quarter, the statistics bureau said today, hurt by cooling growth in major trading partners and a slump in government spending.
Southeast Asia’s largest economy grew 5.02 per cent on an annual basis in July-September, data from the bureau showed, a touch below the 5.04 per cent tipped in a Reuters poll of analysts.
The bureau today also revised up the second quarter growth slightly to 5.19 per cent, from 5.18 per cent.
On a quarterly, non-seasonally adjusted basis, gross domestic product expanded 3.20 per cent in the third quarter. — Reuters
