PUTRAJAYA, July 27 — Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAS) is aiming to return to the Bursa Malaysia in under three years, chief executive officer Peter Bellew said today.
MAS was de-listed from the Malaysian exchange on December 31, 2014 following a privatisation exercise by Khazanah Nasional Berhad.
"We are aiming for March 2019 for a re-listing,” he told reporters during a press conference here today.
Bellew also said that MAS is on course to complete its turnaround plan to stop its losses and return to profitability by 2018.
Bellew stressed that he has no plans to leave his post anytime soon, saying that he has a contract with MAS until 2019.
"I love Malaysia and I have had an overwhelming welcome since I came here,” he said.
Bellew was made CEO in June this year, after his predecessor Christoph Mueller announced his resignation after just one year into a three year contract.
