SHAH ALAM, Nov 6 — DRB-HICOM Bhd is eyeing sales of RM45 million at the three-day DRB-Hicom Autofest 2015, starting today, said group managing director Tan Sri Mohd Khamil Jamil.
The company is showcasing 11 vehicle brands under the group and the entire ecosystem of the car industry within its stable such as Puspakom, Avis and Pos Malaysia at this year’s event.
Among the brands featured are Proton, Lotus, Spyder Can-Am, Audi, Volkswagen, Honda, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Tata and Modenas.
“Sales had been encouraging for previous editions of the event,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the festival today.
He was bullish of this year’s performance, with a higher sales expected compared to last year’s RM43 million.
The company is offering 10 per cent discount for car products on selected models at the Autofest 2015, now in its fourth year.
Meanwhile, chief operating officer of Automotive Distribution and Manufacturing Division, Datuk Razif Mohamed, said with the recent increase in car prices, buyers should take the opportunity to make the most of the special deals.
Attractive deals included car-related products and services such as accessories, financing, insurance, leasing/car rental and a special promotion of DRB-HICOM Elite card, he said. — Bernama
