BNM short-term rates to remain steady

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 ― Short-term interbank rates are expected to remain stable today with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) intervening to absorb excess liquidity from the financial system.
BNM estimated today's liquidity at RM39.37 billion in the conventional system and RM8.60 billion in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct a range maturity auction tender of RM8 billion for seven days to nine days and a Qard of RM700 million for seven days.
BNM will also conduct a commodity murabahah programme tender of RM1.6 billion for seven days.
At 4pm, it will conduct an overnight conventional tender of up to RM30.0 billion and RM6.3 billion Wadiah overnight tender. ― Bernama
