NEW YORK, Aug 20 — Americans spent US$15 billion (RM60 billion) on veterinary care in 2014. With greater availability of effective medical procedures, more pet owners are considering pet health insurance. 

This has meant growth for companies like Philadelphia-based Petplan USA.
