Ringgit opens easier against US dollar

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 — The ringgit opened easier against the US dollar, in early trading this morning, on lack of buying support, a currency trader said.  

Against the greenback, the local currency opened softer at 3.6025/6055 compared with 3.5825/5855 yesterday.

The local note traded mixed against other major currencies.

The ringgit eased against the Singapore dollar to 2.6544/6576 from yesterday’s 2.6515/6544 and appreciated against the British pound to 5.5561/5629 from 5.5597/5665.

It slipped against the yen to 3.0184/0217 from yesterday’s 3.0168/0201 but was better against the Euro at 4.0380/0425 from 4.0672/0717. — Bernama
