KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 — The ringgit opened flat against the US dollar on lack of catalysts.

At 9.30am, the ringgit remained unchanged at yesterday’s 3.4950/4980.

The ringgit was traded mixed against other major currencies. 

The local unit rose against the Euro to 4.3457/3501 from yesterday’s 4.3485/3529 and strengthened against the British pound to 5.4623/4691 from 5.4952/4006 yesterday.

It weakened against the yen to 2.9631/9664 from 2.9484/9516 yesterday and eased against the Singapore dollar to 2.6651/6680 from yesterday’s 2.6635/6676. — Bernama
