KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 — Gas Malaysia Bhd posted a higher pre-tax profit of RM69.38 million in the third quarter (Q3) ended Sept 30, 2014 compared with RM59.13 million in the corresponding period last year.  

Revenue for the quarter rose to RM734.40 million from RM583.70 million the year before due to higher volume of gas sold and the upward revision of natural gas tariff.

Basic earnings per share stood at 4.19 sen against 3.60 sen previously.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, Gas Malaysia anticipates the increase in gas volume and number of customers to sustain in the remaining quarter of the financial year 2014. — Bernama
